The Australian sharemarket is poised to shrug off a soft lead from global overseas markets and open higher on Friday morning. At 7.45am AEDT, futures are pointing to a gain of 36 points, or 0.5 per cent, at the open. What looks like a solid pop higher for the ASX today comes off the back a couple of day’s of heavy losses across the market.
